LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

It is a legal requirement in Australia that each couple must complete and lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM - link is on the next page ). This form is required to be lodged with your Celebrant at least one month prior to your Wedding Date - I can help you complete this.

You will need to produce original Birth Certificates or Passports from your country of Birth and should this not be your first Marriage, the Certificate of Divorce or Death Certificate will need to be sighted. All Certification is required to be original. A Drivers Licence or similar Identification will suffice for current address details.

In the immediate lead up to your ceremony, you must both sign a Declaration that states there is no legal impediment to your marriage. I am legally authorised to witness your signatures on this document.

Finally on your special day, you are required to have two witnesses over the age of 18 to witness your ceremony and sign your Certificates.
